Summer at the Lake

So I have now been to the lake twice and I really like it. I like hanging out on the boat and in my float in the water but I absolutely HATE my life vest. It makes me feel so crowded! I think I have heard my mom describe such a feeling as "claustrophobia". That is a big word, but whatever it is, I think I might have it....My favorite feeling is just hanging out after a nice swim in my leopard swim suit cover-up. (A girl can't just sit around in her bikini after all, can she?) I am really looking forward to my next trip to the lake! I can't wait!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Yesterday was my daddy's 33rd birthday, so to celebrate, we took a boat cruise on Lake Austin with some of our friends. Let's see....there was James, John, Jennifer, my buddy William, Katie, and Mom and Dad. We had a good time just cruising around looking at all of the pretty houses along Lake Austin. I think I am going to like it here in Austin. After the boat ride, we came back to our house and Uncle James played a little guitar for me. I really enjoyed that. Music makes me feel good! Well, anyway, Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

Squash

Well- mom and dad are still trying to figure out what kind of food I might like besides breast milk. So far- nothing has really peaked my interest. They tried regular rice cereal, then apple sauce, now they tried giving me squash. I'm not saying I hate it as much as my dad, but I'm not the biggest fan. Maybe when I'm a little older- we'll have to wait and see!

My first Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your holiday as much as I did. Our day had a few rough patches what with my daddy's tires being stolen off of his car, our air-conditioner breaking and then our camera fell and broke (so after this post it might be a while until the next since Dad is having to get it fixed). Anyway, despite all of that, we had such a fun few days! On Thursday night, we drove out to Aunt Brandy and Uncle James's family's lake house and I got to take my very first boat ride. It was very relaxing. By the time we got to our destination (Carlos and Charlie's for the fireworks show), I was fast asleep. We went back out to the lake house on Friday and spent a little more time on the boat and then we went to a fun party that night. We did have to leave once the fireworks started though. I am not old enough to be at a close-up fireworks show, apparently. They are loud and scary. Maybe next year!

My daddy said a bad word...

Well, my dad didn't have the best start to his holiday. This picture is what he woke up to when he opened the garage door to let the dogs out. I've never heard some of the words he said- but luckily I'm too little to remember them. He did tell me that it was all replaceable and that the important thing was that we were all safe!

My Rainforest Jumperoo!

I absolutely love my Jumperoo. It makes the craziest noises. I feel like I am in South America or something (Just for the record, I have never been to South America, but from what I've read, they have rainforests there.) Anyway, I will sit in my jumperoo for 30 minutes and just spin from one activity to the next. My favorite is the spinning sunshine. Ok, gotta run....I need to do some jump jump jumping!!

1 minute of laughing

The title says it all! Click the video to see what I do all day long!

Five months old!!

Happy July everyone! I turned five months old yesterday and things couldn't be better! I am laughing at everything these days. Mom sneezed in my face this afternoon and I cackled out loud. It was one of the silliest noises I have ever heard. Dad likes to sing "Hello my baby, hello my darling, hello my ragtime gaaaaal!" and that really cracks me up. He will make an absolute fool of himself for me and I am just milking it. Other than that, some of my new favorite things are my feet, the wiener dogs' ears, my new toy keys, and walking around the yard with my mom while she points out the different kinds of flowers we have. She acts like I will be able to say lantana or agapanthus sometime soon. Anyway, thank you all for sharing in my first five months!!
