Mary + Luke

Yesterday was the big day! I was there the day Mary and Luke got engaged and apparently yesterday was what we had been waiting for.....the wedding!!! We got to Marshall Friday night and oh my goodness was it good to see Mary. I haven't seen her in three weeks and I just smiled and smiled when I saw her. So on Saturday William and I played around and in the afternoon we went to Mary's church where she was dressed up in a big white dress and she looked SO BEAUTIFUL! When the time came for us to walk down the aisle, I was a little nervous, but overall I must admit, I really liked how everyone was staring at me! It was great so I giggled myself all the way down the aisle! Anyway, the wedding was beautiful. And I am so happy for Mary--I think Luke is pretty darn cute. I cannot wait to go and visit them in Houston!

Walking down the aisle...

So I just had my first 'job'. I don't think I'll make a career out of it- but it was pretty fun. My buddy William and I were charged with walking down the aisle for our favorite nanny, Mary. He was the ring bearer and I was the flower girl. Our dads lined us up- and right when we saw our moms we started laughing and walking/running/stumbling to them. Silly William got going so fast he fell and just kept crawling! Enjoy the video! Pics will follow...

South Padre Island

df

This weekend I took my second trip to the beach. Mom, Dad, and I went to South Padre Island with Katy, Jeff and Alice (Alice has a house there-that lucky duck!) Anyway, we had a blast! We were there for three days and went to the beach several times, went out to dinner, played around the house, and just had fun in the sun. This time when I was on the beach, I had a little trepidation about the water that moves. I would only stand at the edge of it, but if a wave would hit my foot, it really freaked me out! I did have fun chasing those seagulls though. They were after my snacks, I just know it! The only thing that put a damper on the whole trip is that I was having a really hard time on Friday because I am getting LOTS of new teeth! I will let you know when that happens. As for now I will just share my beach pictures with you!

New Tricks

So a few weeks ago I learned how to touch my eyes, mouth, nose, ears, and tummy. The funniest is when I'm asked to touch my eyes- I just blink them really hard (I'm no dummy- I could poke them out if I pointed at them too fast). Anyway, I really have been irritating Mom and Dad because when they turn on the video camera...I never do the tricks for them:) Finally, yesterday, Dad had the camera and I felt so bad for him that I played along for a little bit...here is the video- enjoy!

Different ways to keep cool on a hot summer day

Being the outdoorsman(woman....okay baby) that I am, I have been looking for different ways to keep cool now that it is in the 90s around here. I have been going for dips in the pool almost every day and enjoying a popsicle here and there. Well today I found something that is even better than popsicles....fudgecicles! Oh my was it delicious!

Yay for friends, kidneys, and hair accessories!

Last night Mom, Dad, and I helped Alice celebrate her Grandpa's new liver turning one year old! His family had a party for him to celebrate that one year ago he had a successful liver transplant and is doing well and can play with Alice all she wants! Because it was a special occasion, I decided I would impress everyone with my new hair accessory. Mom has all of the clip-on bows in my bathroom, but apparently I STILL don't have enough hair to wear them, so she has resorted to a head band with a bow. I am practicing wearing this for Mary's wedding and I really didn't mind wearing it at all. Anyway, Alice and I ran around all night with balloons tied to our dresses so that our parents could keep up with us. We had a blast and spent lots of time talking about next weekend. We are going to the beach!!!

MammaT and DaddyBob Visit

The week between Dax's birthday and Memorial Day, I felt like I was back on vacation in Florida! Mama T and Daddy Bob came in for a visit for the week and we had so much fun. They took me walking at Town Lake, we went to the playground, we played golf. I don't think my feet hit the ground for the entire week! Here is a picture Mama T snapped of my "ponytail". Love you Mama T and Daddy Bob. Cannot WAIT for you to come back and visit soon!

1st Day of School

Well the sad news is that my sweet sweet Mary is no longer brightening my days. Friday was her last day with me and now she is moving to Houston to get married and go to nursing school. Don't worry though, I am a flower girl in her wedding so I will be seeing her in less than 3 weeks, and then she is going to visit me a lot after that and I will probably drop in on her in Houston sometimes too to make sure she is doing alright without me. Anyway, although I miss Mary, I am very excited about the new chapter in my life on how I will spend my days. I am going to school! That's right, people. I am moving on to higher education-Montessori school. I know it's going to be a challenge, but don't worry I am up for it. Today Mom and Dad took me in with my new backpack and lunchbox and after about 15 minutes, they left. Ok, Ok, I did give them a little drama when they left, but pretty soon, I was feeling the whole school thing. We had circle time and I made lots of new friends, my favorite so far is Charlie. Next we had music time, and I stood up and just started dancing. It was a hoot! We also made an art project for Mom and Dad. I dipped my hands in some pink paint and then made handprints on a piece of paper. And thank GOODNESS I was so good, because my new teachers went home a report card! Can you believe it? So, when M and D came back to get me at noon, I wasn't quite sure I was ready to leave, but they know what's best for me, so we came home where I PROMPTLY took a nap. All of that learning really makes you tired! Then we went for a swim in the pool and I was definitely ready for my bedtime tonight. Can't wait to see what we are going to do tomorrow at school!!

Bad Habits

In my maturity, I am really starting to pick up some bad habits. I am afraid I might be addicted to sugar; well it's Splenda and I don't so much eat it as I am obsessed with taking the packets in and out of the box, but it is a problem nonetheless. I also don't know why they bother with these sippy cups when it is so much easier to just drink the milk right out of the carton. (?)

Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend was so much fun this year. Dad went out to hang up the American Flag on Saturday morning and I knew a party was a-coming. Not only, did Mom and Dad get to stay home with me for 3 days in a row, but I got to see a bunch of my friends! Berlin and her mom and dad Niven and Will came to town along with Fletcher and Molly, my mom and dad's friends. We spent lots of time hanging out by the pool and playing. Sunday morning my Dad and Berlin's Dad took us for a jeep ride to the playground. It was fun showing Berlin around my turf. All the other kids thought she was pretty cool. On Monday when everyone left, Mom, Dad, and I hit the Lost Creek CC pool for the first time this summer and that was awesome! There were so many little kids to play with. M and D were so busy chasing me around, that they forgot to take pictures! When we got home that night, Mom let me help her water her plants outside. That water hose is crazy fun!! What a great weekend!

Dax turns 1!

On May 16th, my cousin Dax turned one year old. It is so crazy; it seems like just yesterday Mom and Dad and I were driving to Dallas to meet him on his real BIRTHday in the hospital! Anyway, Aunt Rach, Uncle Chris, Aves and Dax cruised into town and we all threw Dax a birthday bash! His parents had just gotten back from Barbados and brought him this really cool rasta hat that we was sporting, but when Dad tried to put it on me, I LOST it. Look, I have no hair, and i LIKE it that way, okay? Anyway, Dax and Aves dug into his tugboat cake and I had a little but not too much. Then we just played with his new birthday toys before we all crashed for the night. Happy Birthday Daxman!!

Popsicles!

First of all, let me vent. I haven't blogged in a while because Dad did something weird with our photos and I have been up to all sorts of fun that you guys are missing out on! So I am going to try to catch you up.....Ok. About a week ago, I got the treat of all treats....my very first popsicle. Mom gave me red because she says that is her favorite. Once I got over how cold it was, I was really digging it.
