Port Aransas (Beach trip #3)

Well, friends, I am pooped today. That is because I just returned home yesterday from an action packed four day vacation to Port Aransas. I had so much fun hanging out with my Mom and Dad and my friends William and Berlin and their parents. We stayed at this beach house which was just a short walk from the beach and we went to the beach every day. Berlin and I got in some good girl bonding time. She is very affectionate and finally on day 3 I decided to return the affection. And of course it is always good to see my old buddy William. As you all know, I have now been to the beach in Marco Island, South Padre, and now Port Aransas, but this was the first time that I was REALLY into splashing in the waves. I used to have a serious mistrust of the water that moves, but now I realize how much fun it can be. I also got back into the old habit of dumping sand on my head like last time. What a fun weekend!

Girls morning out

This morning Mom and I headed to the Town Lake trail to enjoy her day off and we let Dad sleep in so we could have a little girl time. After our walk on the trail, we spent a little time in Zilker Park where it was apparently dog's day out too. This is me spotting a dog that looked a lot like my Pater dog and taking off to get him. His name was Cud and he let me throw the frisbee for him a few times. Happy Labor Day everyone!

Zilker park fun

This morning after breakfast at Magnolia cafe (um their pancakes are to die for), Mom, Dad, and I headed to Zilker park for a little fun time. First we played on the playground there which is awesome, then we rode the world famous Zilker Zephyr. Okay, so maybe it's not world famous, but it is this really neat train that takes you through Zilker park where you can just watch everyone playing with their dogs, playing soccer, walking and jogging, and there is even this really nice man who plays the guitar and harmonica somewhere along the way. After the train ride, we were absolutely parched, so I got my very first snow cone. That thing was awesome! It combines two of my very favorite things in one: ice and sugar. While we ate our snow cones, we watched everyone swim at Barton Springs, but we didn't have our suits, so we had to sit this one out. After my nap, the parentals wanted to see a movie, and apparently I am not old enough for that yet, so they dropped me off with Aunt Katie and we had a fun time. She lives downtown, so we got to walk around and get some frozen yogurt and I got to hang out with her cat Sammie and he is so fancy, he wears a necktie! Sorry we didn't get too many pictures from the day, but as you can see, I was too busy living it up!

First College Gameday 2009

Disclaimer: I am an Aggie. My mom is an Aggie. My dad is an Aggie. I come from a long line of Aggies. However, I happen to live in Austin which is the home of UT and UT football. We have lots of friends who went to UT and so on weekends when we don't have it in us to drive to College Station, we might visit a few UT tailgates (but we will not be going to any games, don't worry.) Anyway, today was the opening game of the college football season, so we visited with a few friends downtown and here I am tailgating it up before coming home to cheer on my Aggies. You will note that we are all dressed in neutral colors-no burnt orange here! Gig em!

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?

Well- I couldn't help it....I think my dad's excitement for the upcoming college and NFL football seasons is rubbing off on me. The other day- I was downstairs playing when that super cool song came on right before an NFL preseason game...I just had to shake what my momma gave me!
