Happy Thanksgiving 2009!

Well Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful day filled with family, fun, and lots of food! I know I did! I started the day having breakfast with Avery. We had some delcious kolaches that Popo Vogt brought from La Grange. All I could tell him was "Yummmmmm!" Then it was off to the Turkey Trot where Mom, Dad, Uncle Chris and Aunt Rachel ran and pushed Avery and me in the stroller. That was lots of fun. We got to run around the capitol and we saw lots of people wearing turkeys on their heads! After the race, we ran into Aunt Katie and her sister Mollie and I got to meet Rick Perry, the governor of Texas (he is an Aggie like we are!) After the race, we had brunch at Threadgills with Popo and Uncle John. Then it was time for home and a nap. But when I woke up I got into my Aggie gear and got ready for turkey and football. Avery and I spent most of the day playing with toys and roaming around outside. (Dax doesn't really get into our girly activities just yet, but we are working on him!) Then it was time for the turkey. Avery, Dax, and I even got our very own "kids' table". The only food I really got into was the dressing and the cranberry sauce. But that was until the pumpkin pie came out.....Dad is known around this place for the pumpkin pie that he makes and I can see why! He made Avery, Dax, and me our very own mini pies and I polished mine off! So after dinner it was time for the Aggie game and I was ready! Soon after the game started, Katie stopped by to visit. I don't know what it is about Katie that gets me so excited, but I sat right down and showed her how I could count to 10....(with a few glitches. I skip 1 and 5, but other than that, I've got it!) And then we would all scream really loud! So after all the fun with Aunt Katie, I was pooped and finally had to go to bed (even though Mom and Dad let me stay up until 9:30 - almost 2 hours past my bedtime!!) I hear my poor Aggies ended up losing to those stinkin' Longhorns which really bums me out. That is the only thing that kept this from being the perfect Thankgiving!

Morgen mit meine Luftballon (Morning with my balloon)

This morning after my trip to HEB with Mom and Dad, I ran around with the red balloon that the sweet checkout girl gave me for almost an hour. (Um, yes, I got to go to the grocery store in my pajamas...) Anyway, Mom says she just kept thinking of this silly German song from the 80s....

Second trip to Aggieland

Yesterday marked my second trip to College Station and my FIRST time inside Kyle Field. Last year I got to go to a tailgate, but this year I actually got to go inside Kyle Field and watch the football game! A&M was playing Baylor and we won! I really had a good time at the game. All I could say was "Aggie football" over and over again. To be completely honest with you though, although the game was really exciting, I had a lot more fun at the tailgate. Even though it was pretty rainy and cold all day, I had fun eating hot dogs and apples and playing with everybody. The most exciting part of the day was when my cousins Avery and Dax showed up with Aunt Rachel and Uncle Chris! Gig em Aggies! Can't wait to watch the game on Thursday (we play those stinkin' Longhorns! I am already working on my "horns down".)

Date with William

This picture is from a couple of weeks ago when we went to visit William's new baby brother Charles when they got home from the hospital. William and I were feeling sentimental for the old times and decided to get together for a picture. Miss you buddy!

My second trip to Marco Island

Last weekend I got to take my 3rd airplane ride and my 2nd trip to Marco Island to visit Mama T and Bob Bob. Mom, Dad, and I flew to Ft. Lauderdale on Friday morning and then stayed until Monday afternoon. We went to the beach a couple of times and went on boat rides where I saw my first live dolphin and manatee! The dolphins will swim right alongside your boat there. It's crazy. Here are some pictures of our adventures!

Happy Veteran's Day!

Today is Veteran's Day and I didn't have school, so Mom and I got to play together all day! (Dad is at a meeting in Denver.) We started the day with a trip down to Town Lake where Mom did a little jogging while I rode in the stroller until I insisted that I push my own stroller for a while. Then it was time for an impromptu game of hide-and-seek in the park and finally we took a break to visit The Townsend Family brick at Lou Neff point. I heard talk about storytime at the library this afternoon. Can't wait for that!

What I might look like with hair....

A couple of nights ago, I was being crazy with some napkins and put this one on my head just to see what I might look like if I EVER decide to grow any hair!

LG photo shoot

Yesterday we took a short little trip to La Grange to see Popo and take some family photos at the River Bottom. The River Bottom is our little farm on the Colorado River that has been in my family for over 100 years! Popo Vogt, his dad and his granddad have all three run cows there. In fact some of Popo Vogt's cows were very curious about our photo session and were just standing around staring at us which cracked me up. The barn where Dad and I are sitting in the picture (or what's left of it) was built in 1913 by my great great grandpa Fritz! Anyway, back to the photo shoot: This really sweet girl named Brittany took these pictures and even though I was in a pretty rotten mood, (Mom, Dad, and Popo did some of the silliest dances you have EVER seen to try to get me to smile....) she seems to have beautifully caught the few times I smiled! Here is the little sneak peak that she shared with us.
