Memorial weekend pool party!

To celebrate Memorial Day, we had a weekend long pool party with lots of my friends. Some even came in from out of town. First, I finally got to meet cute little Reid Slaughter. He lives in Dallas and his parents are friends with my parents. Anyway, he is 6 months old and super cute. I even helped feed him. I think babies are pretty neato. Then my cousins Bailey and Benjamin came in with their Mommy and Daddy. We all swam and played on Saturday. Then on Sunday we were joined by the Jefferies, the McEwans and the Robbs. Today we rest. Happy Memorial Day!

Last day in Marco

Sunday morning Mom and Dad took me, Avery and Dax to breakfast and to the pool for a little splash time. The Waldens had to leave around lunch, so after we said good-bye to them, we just relaxed by Mama T and Bob Bob's pool. That night we had pizza and ice cream at the beach. Tomorrow we head back to Austin. I am pooped, but oh what a fun trip this has been!

Saturday at the beach

Saturday morning Mom, Dad, and I went for a bike ride. This was my first time on the back of a bicycle and oh how I loved the wind blowing through my hair! We rode to the beach to meet up with Chris, Avery and Dax where we played all morning. I had to take a noontime break so it was back to Mama T and Bob Bob's for lunch and a nap, but that afternoon, it was time to go back to the beach where we spent the rest of the afternoon. We flew a kite, built sandcastles and played with our little toy fishes in the sand when we weren't out splashing in the water. The night was topped off with orange push pops-yummmmmy.

Marco Island Day 2

On Friday we all went for a boat ride to a little island where we collected sea shells. After the boat ride, we spent the afternoon in the pool. I had lots of fun showing off my newly acquired swimming skills!

Marco Island Day 1

I just got back from a family trip to Marco Island. Aunt Rachel had a neonatal conference in Marco, so we decided we would take Gigi and make it a big party! On the airplane, I got my own seat for the first time since this is the first time I have flown since my second birthday. The nice flight attendant brought me my "wings" and I wore them with pride. When we got to Florida, Mama T and Bob Bob were at the Ft. Lauderdale airport waiting for us and on our way back to Marco, we stopped to pet Bobby the baby alligator. I loved him! I even gave him a little unprevoked kiss. But then Leroy, the daddy alligator came out and I was not so amused. That night we met up with Dax, Avery, Aunt Rachel and Uncle Chris on the beach for sunset and splashed around. More fun to come!

LG Sunday

Sunday morning we headed to La Grange to meet up with Mom's family to celebrate Dax turning 2!! First, though, we stopped out at Blackjack to see the progress being made. And guess what was out there? A TRACTOR! Actually it is a bulldozer, but I don't care. I was obsessed with driving it anyway. I am into most modes of transportation these days: airplanes, cars, school buses, tractors. I also loved chasing butterflies. There were so many of them flying around everywhere and they were so many different colors! After Blackjack, we headed to lunch with everyone and then back to Mimi's house to have some of Dax's birthday cookie cake. It was delicious! Happy Birthday Dax!

A visit from Mary and Luke

This weekend Mary and Luke came to stay with me and it was so wonderful to see them! On Friday we went over to play at William's house and then Saturday the McEwans came over and we all played in the pool all day. And M & L brought me some fun Cars goodies! I love you Mary and Luke. Hope to see you again soon!

Mom's Day 2010

Sunday to celebrate Mother's Day, we drove to Gruene after church to have lunch with Gigi. Happy Mother's Day Mama!

Drama in Fayette County

Last Saturday when we went out to Blackjack because our gravel was getting delivered, we had a minor emergency. I got locked in the car! We had to call the Fayette County Sheriff and Flatonia Police. They were so nice. They ended up getting me out of the car so I had to take a photo with them. Thanks guys!

Swimming lessons

Yesterday I finished a veritable 2-week swimming boot camp. I am not sure how I feel about it yet, because I cried each and every day that we were there, but let me tell you why. I love to play in the pool. I DO NOT, however, like to put my head under water. Well that is all I have been doing at swim lessons. Miss Cathy had me swimming from one end of the pool to the other under water. The only part of it that made me kinda happy was when I got to dive to the bottom of the pool for rocks that I would then give to Mom. I really did improve my swimming skills, if I do say so myself. Now, I am ready for summer!
