A fantastic four months!

Today I turned four months old.  It was a beautiful day, so to celebrate Mom and I dropped Kate off at school and then had a little date together by driving to Warrenton and doing a little antiquing together.  I am sure I will NOT be interested in that for long.  Then we came home and I tried my very first rice cereal.  I was not positive what to think about it....Other than that, I have recently discovered that my feet are the most fun toys a guy could have (and always readily available.)  And I am a total giggle pot.  My favorite things are when Mom washes my hands (I laugh it up) or Dad puts my feet on his face (I just die!).

Bend it like Townsend

Today was my second soccer game.  And although I didn't display stellar sportsmanship, I did get in a little time on the field and I SCORED A GOAL.  Well, sort of.  Izzy, my teammate dribbled the ball down the field and then kicked it almost out of bounds beside the goal, so I picked it up with my hands (oopsie!) and placed it back in front of the goal and kicked it in!  GOAAAAALLLLLLLL!!!  I was excited until everyone started cheering and the noise made me lose it and start crying.  Thank goodness Dad is one of my coaches so he was standing nearby.  After the goal I was finished playing for the day, but overall, I enjoyed myself much more today than I did last week!  GO STARS!!

Wheeeeeee!

Wanna see how much fun I had on the roller coaster today at the carnival?  Well then watch this video.

Austin Rodeo and Soccer(ish)....

Today was a crazy day.  This morning Dad and I talked Mom into skipping church to get an early start to the Austin Rodeo carnival and man did we have fun!  I rode lots of rides, went to the petting zoo, rode the ponies (a highlight!), and jumped really high on a trampoline.  It was a blast, but because we stayed at the carnival for so long and I was too excited and chatty on the drive home to sleep, I missed my nap.  Big mistake.  Because this afternoon was the inaugural game of my first soccer season.  I was excited to see my friends Wyatt and Alice and I didn't mind kicking the ball around a little with Dad, but after that I was DONE.  I refused to play in the game and threw a couple of fits just for effect.  Let's hope next week goes better so that I can help out my team.  We are called the "Stars" and I think we might have even won the game today 2-1?  Honestly things were a little too crazy for Mom and Dad to really keep score.  And it is official: I am a 3 year-old who still loves and needs her nap every day.  In fact, I am going to crash an hour early tonight to try to make up for it.  Gute nacht!

This week was Spring Break so Mom, Luke and I met Gigi out at Blackjack and we spent a few days planting plants and "beautifying Blackjack".  Popo and Uncle John came out to visit and help some too and then on Thursday Dad surprised us by showing up for a couple of hours after work!  The weather was beautiful and I can't wait to see the plants grow "bigger and bigger"!

Sunday lunch and golf date with friends

This morning Dad played golf with Alice's dad and Wyatt's dad while Luke and I went to church with Mom.  I was charming the ushers at the back of church by curtseying to them and saying, "Your majesty." I was on fire!  After church we met up with the dads and my friends and their moms at Gray Rock for lunch.  We had loads of fun running around on the golf course.  Alice and I picked lots of flowers while Wyatt worked on his golf swing-that little dude is good!  I told him I would definitely come watch him on the tour in a few years! Luke, Hollis, and Scarlett also did lots of visiting.  Of course, it is completely non-verbal at this point, but there were lots of meaningful looks and smiles exchanged among those babies.   Once we got home, I had lots of fun playing in the yard while Mom did some yard work.  We both ended up so dirty and pooped that we took our bath and went to bed a little early.  And it's a good thing because last night we "sprang forward" for daylight savings time and I was not excited about going to bed before dark!

Today we went to the Zilker Kite Festival with Mom, Dad and Mama T.   We ate funnel cakes, drank lemonade and enjoyed the kites.  What a beautiful day!
