Keeping our cool

The Jefferies came over for a pool party.  Hollis and Luke mostly just walked around the pool and enjoyed their chocolate popsicles.

Cute kid soup

Alice and Kate really enjoyed the pool party

Today we went to the Pease Park splash pad.  Luke preferred to watch the action from here.....

while Kate had fun splashing,

and splashing,

and splashing.

Making friends at the splash pad.

Amy's Ice Cream to refuel.

More chocolate ice cream.  I like the summertime stuff!
Well summer is definitely here!  We have been splashing around in the water and enjoying lots of ice cream to keep cool.  Here are some photos from the past week of our summer fun.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to our wonderful dad.  We sure are lucky you belong to us.  We love you the most!

Weekend with our cousins

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
This weekend we went to the JW Marriott in San Antonio with Bailey and Benjamin to celebrate Father's Day.  We had a fantastic time swimming and sliding in the pool all day.  Luke was crazy about the slide.  In the evening, Mom, Bailey and I took a yoga class, and that night we made s'mores over a campfire.   Other than when poor Benjamin fell by the pool and cut his face (he had to get 3 stitches!), we all had a really fun time.

So long old buddy

Today we said good-bye to Pater.  He lived a long happy 16 years and he grew from a sweet little frat house puppy to a wonderful friend to Brad's babies.  We love you buddy.  Enjoy your walk over the rainbow bridge.

Joy and Pain

Lukes in black.  Kate has a new theory that Big Luke gave us Baby Luke as a gift.  I guess that makes sense?

A family kiss for the birthday boy.

Happy 16th birthday to our sweet old man!

Handsome boys.

Handsome boys and that sweet little Allie dog.

16 candles:  Birthday party time!
This weekend we had two big celebrations.  Pater turned 16 years old and we celebrated with a birthday party complete with carrot cake (his favorite).  We also celebrated the next step for Luke and Mary.  Luke just graduated from dental school and in a couple of weeks, they will be moving to Nashville where he was accepted to the Vanderbilt Oral Maxillofacial surgery residency program.  Mary also got a new job as a nurse in the Cardiac ICU at Vanderbilt.  They are two of the most amazing people we know (with one of the most amazing puppies we know) and although couldn't be more excited for them,  we are going to miss them like crazy.  We are already planning our first trip to Nashville later this summer, because we know we can't live without them.  We love you guys and can't wait for you to do (more) great things!

Spring Dance Recital

Flowers and a trophy from Dad after my performance

Mom needed a little lip gloss before the show.

My mama and me.  She looks so proud.

Mary and Luke.   I love these two more than I can even tell you.  They are moving to Nashville in two weeks and I am going to miss them like CRAZY.  Looks like I will be visiting Nashville sometime this summer!
Yesterday was my Spring dance recital.  I did a snazzy little tap routine to "Funkytown" and I really put on a show.  Gigi and Popo came to watch and so did Mary and Luke!!!  It was wonderful!!
