Matagorda 2012

We just returned home from our Matagorda trip for this summer and we had a wonderful time!  The highlights of this trip were finding a giant blue crab, building several sand unicorns, having water balloon fights at the house and riding our bicycles in the street.

Sand unicorn.  I might have just destroyed its horn....Don't tell Kate!

Kate and Dad saying, "Princess Celestia!"

I like to teach Uncle John how to play games on Dad's phone.

The golf cart came to the beach with us.

There were some horseback riders on the beach.

Luke wasn't crazy about that crab.

Birthday celebrations for Dad and Daddy Bob

Playing with light sockets.  One of my favorite things.

Men's work.

Happy Birthday Daddy Bob!

We love the statues at the Oasis.

Oh Mom.

Happy Birthday Will!!

Happy Birthday Dad!

One of my new favorite things to do is tell Mom "Good night!" as she tucks me in at night and then spend an hour coming up with the perfect outfit to come upstairs and surprise her with WAY past my bedtime.  This was one of my favorite ensembles, so I asked to take a picture and send it to Dad who was working.
In the past week we helped Daddy Bob celebrate his 75th birthday with a trip to his favorite Austin place, The Oasis, and we helped Daddy celebrate his birthday by letting him go to a Dwight Yoakam concert with the grown-ups and then Saturday morning on Lake Austin and all afternoon in the pool.  On Sunday, Luke was invited to his first birthday party.  Will Patrick turned 3 and celebrated at My Gym.  Luke went ca-razy.  It might have been the best 2 hours of his life so far.

4th of July

School parade!

Ready to go!

Decorating the golf cart

Waiting for the parade to start

Me too!

This band is pretty good, you guys.

Happy 4th of July!!
We celebrated America's birthday this year by spiffing up the golf cart with lots of red, white and blue and driving in the Westlake parade in the morning and then having a pool party with friends in the afternoon.  The Dudleys, Patricks and Jefferies all came over for some swimming and hot dogs and apple pie.
