Little yogis

As mom was working on that last post, we heard her say something about "relaxing", so I took Luke to the other room, we unrolled our yoga mats, and I lead him through a series of poses.  Just the 2 of us.  Mom heard, "Just follow me, Buddy.  Do what I do."  Then she walked in and snapped these pictures. I think she almost cried from the cuteness on display.

A weekend full of parties!

Well what a weekend!  It started with a surprise visit from Gigi on Friday and then on Saturday, we partied all day long!  First was Bella and Brady's (my friends from school) 5th birthday party out at Little Buckaroos Ranch.  We got to pet all kinds of animals and ride a miniature pony.  Then we had William's 5th birthday party at Rolly Pollies where we jumped around with our friends some more.  That night we stayed with Gigi and Uncle John while Mom and Dad went to another party with their grown up friends downtown.  Then on Sunday we had a block party at our house.  All of our neighbors came over for fajitas and fun.  We had a full house of 40 people.  How crazy is that! So today, we rest.  Everyone have an awesome week!

Unicorn Forest

There is a magical forest out at Blackjack that has been dubbed "Unicorn Forest".  I am pretty sure this is where they live as I have been on several hikes here and found a number of clues as to their whereabouts.  First of all, I have seen glitter trails in the leaves.  Also, there is a tree with holes in it where they sharpen their horns.  But the most convincing clue is the UNICORN HORNS I have found lying around in the woods.  So far I have found two glittery white ones and a glittery blue one.  I like to sit quietly in the woods and listen for the unicorns.  Sometimes I will call out to them, but I have yet to actually spot one.  I will keep hunting.

Friday picnic in the park

Friday was a beautiful day in Austin, so we packed up a little picnic and headed to Zilker park for some sunshine fun with our mama.

We just got back from a fun and crazy Blackjack weekend and it was AWESOME!!  We filled every bed in the house and the bunkhouse with sixteen of us.  The McEwans, Pottingers, and Robbs were all there.  We jumped on the trampoline, went for jeep rides, built a campfire for a weenie roast and made s'mores for dessert.  Here are our photos from the weekend.

One week later: Kate update

Here we are, two days after the "incident" and I am already looking better.  I went to see a plastic surgeon this morning and he seems to think I will heal up just fine and not even need surgery to fix my lip.  THAT is good news!!
