The rest of Kindergarten week one

Luke started swim at Emler on Monday!

Here is the Kindergartener just off the bus after her first day.  The smile says it all.

And then we headed to ballet.

Day 2 walk to the bus stop.

On the bus with Simone!

Home!  Day 3.

Super hero theme for day 4.

And a fun little hike to the bus stop.

Waiting for Kate's bus.

Luke's first day of school

Luke started back to Town and Country on Tuesday.  He is still insistent on the boots and shorts look, so we are going with it.  He will be in Ms. Leti's class and will go three days a week.  I can't wait to see what kind of trouble we can get into on those other two days!

Kate's first day of school

So ready!

Luke NEEDED to be in a few.  He gets to stay home with me today, though.

Proud Mom.

Proud Dad.

Off to the bus stop!

We have a fun bus stop.  The Dudleys and the Gaskamps are our bus stop buddies.

Waiting.....

The bus is here!  This is when Mom and Dad got some tears in their eyes.  I saw them and pretended not to notice.

A kiss for my poor mom.  She is going to miss me.

Following Ryan, my bus buddy!

I think these two might both be missing me today.

The big day is here!!  I am off to Kindergarten.  I woke up bright and early this morning at 6:40 and I looked at my mom and said, "This is the best day of my life.  I start Kindergarten and I start dance."  I had french toast and strawberries for breakfast and then took a shower and got dressed in my new school clothes.  Then I posed for a few pictures and headed down the street to the bus stop where my friend Simone was already waiting.  We hung out for about 10 minutes before the bus came and as soon as I saw it, I was ready to go!  I'll report back at the end of the day to let y'all know how it went!

Meet the teacher!

Mrs. Thornhill and Kate

Kate in her classroom playing with Anna De Leon, one of her classmates.

Thursday night Mom and Dad went to my new school to meet my teacher while Luke and I stayed home with Uncle John.  They came home and told me how much they liked her and how much I was going to love her.  On Friday morning, I had the chance to meet her for myself and they were right.  I am going to like this whole Kindergarten thing.  I can't wait!

Flying home.  Pooped.
Last week we headed to San Diego for five days for our very first family vacation with just the four of us.  Dad had a conference and we decided we would tag along to enjoy the beautiful weather and everything San Diego has to offer.  We went to Legoland, the Natural History Museum, the San Diego Zoo, Coronado Island, and the Children's Museum.  It was a fun vacation before school starts next week!

Jeff and Linda's wedding

Sweet little things ready for the wedding

Luke and Daddy.

Kate was the first one on the dance floor.

And then there were just lots of wrestle piles.

Luke had his very first Shirley Temple.

First dance for the bride and groom.  The kiddos were mesmerized.

The cutting of the cake.  Kate had been asking Linda every 30 minutes when she thought she might be ready for cake.

We all wore our boots at the request of the bride.  And Luke is ready to dance!

Luke pulled a chair up to the cake table and made himself comfy.
Last Thursday we celebrated the wedding of our cousin Jeff and his new lovely bride, Linda.  We had so much fun dancing and partying with all of our cousins.  Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Vogt!
