It's Superman!!!  Today I turned 3 and I wanted a Superman birthday and I got one!  We had a party at the Lost Creek playground with 18 of my wonderful friends and family.  I had a blast!!

Thanksgiving 2013

We just returned from Thanksgiving in Del Rio with Mom's family and man was it fun.  We got to stay in a hotel and go to the "party house" (Unc and Dotty's) for two days and play with all of our cousins, eat great food and just have a really good time with our family who we are so thankful for.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Last week we had Mom's great grandmother's piano, which is almost 100 years old!)  moved from Popo's house to our house and Luke and I have been getting in lots of practice.

Sunday afternoon we had an impromptu block party with the Dudleys, Gaskamps and Castleberrys and our dogs.

Little Miss Scarlett

Tuesday was a big day.  We finally got our new puppy.  Mom, Luke and I drove to East Austin (Dad is out of town all week.  He is missing all of the fun.) and picked her up and I was immediately in love.  On the way home as we were trying to decide on a name, I told Mom I definitely wanted it to start with an "S" and as she was rattling off lots of S names, I heard the one I loved the most: Scarlett.  As soon as she said it I stopped her and said, "Scarlett.  That's her name.  I love it."  So Scarlett it is.  She is 1/4 chihuahua and 3/4 dachshund (or so we think) and she is playful and sweet and LOVES to snuggle. Mom took her to the vet yesterday and they said she weighs 3.6 lbs. and will probably get to about 8 lbs.   I have asked if she can be my puppy because we have a pretty special bond and it seems ok with everyone.  Luke likes her best when she is asleep.  Welcome to our family Scarlett Townsend.  I think you are going to really like it here.
