New Years 2014

We rang in the New Year out at Blackjack with our cousins Benjamin, Bailey, Hannah, Riley, Maddie, Mason, Miller Miles and Mateo and all of their parents and grandparents.  We did lots of zip lining, singing karaoke and dancing in the barn, jumping on the trampoline and in the bounce house and then we ended the night with the Aggie bowl game (we love some Johnny football and we won!) and finally fireworks around the campfire.  Happy 2014!

Let's get this party started!

Kate sang "Let it go" from the movie Frozen in front of a packed house!

Matt, John, Unc, and Jeff enjoying the show.

Mom and Luke cheered for me.

The Vogt cousins sitting on the floor of the barn their great granddad built in 1952.  If he could see them now!

PopoVogt built this barn for square hay bale storage, but he'd be okay with this too, I think.

Now back to the house to watch Johnny Football's last game in his Aggie uniform.

Every night around a campfire is a good night.  Happy new year.

Christmas!!

Christmas morning!

I got my monster truck!!

After opening all of our gifts (Mom and Dad were not very good at taking pictures this year.  Luke got lots of Star Wars related stuff and Kate got some new earrings, roller skates, My Little Pony ponies and they both got a little castle, a club house, and a bounce house), we played for a while and then loaded up our cars and headed to Blackjack to celebrate with Mimi and to just relax for a week of fun family time.

The dogs were wiped out after Christmas morning.

Our friends, the Taylors came out for a day and Drew and I built the most amazing fort!
This is how we spent most mornings last week.

We got a bounce house for Christmas and used it every single day while we were there.

And we did some napping…..
lots of napping.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we went to early church where I got to play the part of an angel and Luke was a shepherd in the story of Jesus's birth.  The Robbs joined us at church which was great fun.  Then we came home and had a wonderful dinner at home before opening one present and going to bed to prepare for the big day tomorrow!!

Christmas festivities

Visiting Santa.  What do you want for Christmas, he asks.  Our answers: a monster truck (Luke) and Ponyville (me).

My last day of school before the break.  And just like that-I am halfway through Kindergarten.

Our first ice skate!

Mom won't let me spit at other people, but I can spit at myself!

Christmas love for my mom.

Luke's ice skating involved lots of kicking and slipping and LOTS of giggling.

Kate did a little skating on her own.  She's a fast learner.

But the girls got to do some pair skating as well.

The Nutcracker

I danced all the way to the car.

Mama and me
The Sunday before school was out for the Christmas holiday, Mom and I had brunch at Zax's with a group of my girlfriends from school and then we went to see the Nutcracker at the Dougherty Arts Center.  What a fun girls day!

Christmas in Florida

My perfect attendance record in Kindergarten is toast. At the beginning of December we took a week long trip to Florida so that we could have Christmas with Mama T, Daddy Bob, Lynne, Uncle Mark and Aunt Justine.  And Mom and Dad went to Unicorn Tom's wedding up near Palm Beach for a couple of days and left us to have fun back in Marco Island.  We swam in the pool, went to the beach and chased dolphins on the boat and jet skis.  It was awesome.

So happy to be at the beach in December!
