Blackjack weekends: the Castleberrys visit and Thanksgiving

Blackjack sleepovers are the best.

Our parents did the Shiner Beer Run 5K while we hung out with Gigi.

Fun shirtless trampoline time.

Static electricity

The light at Blackjack seems downright magical.

One of Mom's favorite spots.

Back in Austin.  A morning at Starbucks alone with Mom and Dad.

Family dinner at Izumi sushi after gymnastics.
Visiting the new place near La Grange.  We love the cattle pens!

The dogs like to ride like this in the truck.  Weirdos!

A week in the life of Kate

This week Kate experienced a "second" and a "first".  On Wednesday she lost her second tooth with the help of the school nurse, Mrs. Kimbrough.  And on Thursday and Friday she had her first "sick days" since starting at Forest Trail.  She has some kind of a virus and secretly she and Mom are really enjoying this time snuggling together as it is so cold outside.  We have built lots of fires and pulled out the coziest blankets and we are perfecting the art of "taking it easy".  Also in on the snuggling, our two lazy pups....
2nd tooth lost! (Bottom right this time)

Happy dogs

Sweet Kate has been a champ at resting with the help of her little red friends.

Blackjack with the Gaskamps

Last weekend we had an amazing time at Blackjack with our friends and neighbors, the Gaskamps.  We spent time hunting for frogs, fishing, jumping on the trampoline and enjoying the beautiful fall weather.  We even took a trip down to the River Bottom and ended up in the river.  We love this family!
A little ride in the jeep with Scarlett waiting for the Gaskamps to arrive.

Pajamas and boots in the barn.

Karaoke party

Boys in their superhero underwear.

Everybody at the river.

Just a couple of boys going fishing.

Luke's first Aggie Football game

On Saturday, we joined the Robbs at Kyle Field to watch the Aggies play the University of Louisiana-Monroe.  James has a friend at work who let us hang out in his suite and that was awesome.  The Aggies won and Luke called it "the best day ever".  After which he said, "I cannot wait to get bigger and go to school here."  I think we would be okay with that!
