Happy Birthday beautiful girl!!

Today Kate turned seven.  Dad and I both agree it has been the best seven years of our lives.  You are bright like the sunshine and we love your light.  Hope you had a wonderful day.  We love you more that you will ever know!!
Although your birthday was on  SaturdayWe celebrated for three days straight!  We started with lunch at school on Friday and a cupcake the size of her head!  Birthday lunch request? McDonalds chicken nuggets, french fries and chocolate milk

Birthday violin practice.

It was cold and rainy on your birthday but Dad wanted you to have a pool party so he heated the pool and we invited all the neighbors over and everyone had a blast!

After the swim, we had pizza and cookie cake.

On Sunday, we had a birthday party for Kate's girlfriends at the Candy Jar.  The theme was Wild Kratts.  It is her favorite tv show and sparked her love of Cheetahs.

Drawing a cheetah on the wall.

Playing gummy bear bingo.

Kate's friends drew some great art on the wall.

Faces painted and on our way to the Castleberry's Super Bowl party after Kate's birthday party.

A great start to 2015

This is how we spent our January.
A boys night at Blackjack.  Just Luke and Dad.  And this turtle.

Boys' nights are exhausting.

Tea party.

After school treats.  A football cookie for Luke....

Hot chocolate and a scone for Kate.

Kate started violin lessons in January.  Her teachers name is Ruby Jane and she is having a ball.

We spent the night in San Antonio just hanging out with cousins.

Luke and Mom enjoying the sunshine with a front yard picnic lunch while Kate was at school.  We have had unseasonably beautiful days for January.

Kate + Rocky

January has found Kate, Luke and Mom battling lots of sickness.  Kate has had two sick days and both times Rocky won't leave her side.  He doesn't snuggle like this with anyone else in the family.  Kate is his person.

Happy New Year!!

This year New Years was so cold and rainy but we were lucky to be surrounded by lots of friends that came to Blackjack to celebrate with us. The Gaskamps, the Flacks, and the Tilsons were all there and we had a blast.  We sang lots of karaoke, played lots of Mexican train and had a great fireworks show.  Happy 2015!!
The girls played lots of Mexican train

There were lots of great muddy puddles.
