Happy Easter!

We spent Easter in Austin this year.  It was a beautiful day that started with an egg hunt in our front yard and awesome Easter nest goodies!  Kate got a Warrior book and Luke got bases so that he can play some real baseball!  Then we went to church with Gigi and Uncle John and sat with the Reibers. After church we all had lunch together at Lupe Tortilla and then played at the Reibers all afternoon.  Glorious day.  He is risen!

Good Friday!

We spent Good Friday in a  grand way.  We went with Mom to see James and the Giant Peach at the Zach Scott Theater downtown.  It was awesome.  (Luke was there but did NOT want to be in this picture.)  Next we met Uncle John and Dad for lunch at Shady Grove where we had the most ridiculous chocolate chip cookie dessert you have ever seen.  We also got to see "Jesus" walking down Barton Springs Road with a  cross and hundreds of followers.  Okay, so it was just an actor and his church family, but still, it was pretty cool.

Famous American!

Kate chose Neil Armstrong for her second grade Famous American project.  He was the first man to walk on the moon, after all!  She read a biography, did lots of internet and book research and we took a trip to Nasa.  She presented the information in front of her class dressed as an astronaut and made a great Keynote presentation and a styrofoam model of the moon!  Great job, Kate!
