Washington D.C.

This week we took a few days off of school for a five day trip to Washington DC. We flew there and Uncle John drove out and met us there.  It was an awesome vacation.  We saw the White House, the Jefferson, Lincoln and Washington Monuments, two of the Smithsonians, Arlington cemetery, took a tour of the US Capitol and  toured Mount Vernon.  What a trip!

Luke is officially a bike rider!  Benjamin gave him his bicycle and we went into the big ditch near the Swaney's house where it took him no time at all to get the hang of it!  Go Luke!!

This year we spent New Years Eve at the JW Marriott and had a blast!  We played kickball, floated the lazy river (it was warm!) and went dancing!

Christmas in Marco Island

Last week we celebrated an early Christmas in Marco Island with Mama T., Daddy Bob, Mark, Justine, Aunt Lynne and we met her new friend Judy who we LOVED.  We spent some time at the beach, a little time at the pool, a couple of nights at the Marriott, played putt putt, watched the boat parade from the Snook Inn and had Christmas dinner together and opened presents.   Although it was a little cool and cloudy, we still enjoyed our time in Florida.

Dad and I absolutely pinch ourselves when we see you two loving each other the way you do.  Y'all are best little friends and it is the BEST thing in the world to watch your relationship as brother and sister grow.

Christmas prep!

This year we got really excited about baking cookies with Mom.  We baked 12 dozen cookies and delivered some to the Flacks, some to the Tilsons, and then we took some to the Fire Station.

Happy Birthday LUKE!!!!

Happy birthday to the sweetest, coolest, cutest 7 year old we know!!  We celebrated with presents in the morning, In-n-Out Burger in the Forest Trail Cafeteria, more presents in the afternoon and Luby's for dinner.  Hope this is your best year yet!
