Yoakum High School Homecoming

This weekend Mom had her 20th high school reunion and we all got to go to the Homecoming Football game on Friday (the Bulldog was our favorite part) and then we went to the reunion on Saturday.  And we were able to spend a little time with Gigi while we were there.  It was a fun time.

Our weekend with Dad

This weekend Mom got to take a girls' trip to Asheville, North Carolina to celebrate Aunt Amy's 40th birthday and while the cat's away the mice will play.  We had a blast with Dad with lots of queso, lots of sleepovers, and lots of dress up parties.

Luke's first day of school!

On September 2, Luke went back to school at Town and Country Montessori.  His teachers this year are Miss Leti, Miss Swati, and Miss Sandra.  He is in love with all three of them and ready to grow.  He starts the year by being able to write his name, count to 20 and say his ABCs.  Let's see what the year brings for our sweet little guy!

Luke's last week of summer vacation

After we sent Kate off to the first grade, Luke and I had a week to ourselves for all kinds of fun!

We had a midday trip to Starbucks-coffee for me, cookie for him.

We had several outfit/costume changes every day.

We waited for Kate at the bus stop.

And heard the daily first grade report.

We got a handsome haircut.

And wore our 12th Man jersey for the Aggies first game of the season.

We ended the week with Freebirds for lunch.

And then for Labor Day Weekend, we headed to La Grange for the Fayette County Fair.

Bailey and Benjamin met us there.

Avery and Dax met us at Blackjack for some crazy cousin time.

And we all went to Mimi's for a visit.

Back to school 2014 - Kate edition

Today Kate headed off to her first day of 1st grade.  She was completely thrilled to be going back.  She already loves her teacher, Mrs. Harvey and she is in class with her sweet friend Anna DeLeon for the second year in a row.  Here is to a great year for our sweet girl!

The last couple of weeks of summer we packed in lots more good stuff....

Kate chose Fujiyama hibachi for her end of summer date night with Mom and Dad.  Luke got to stay home with Uncle John.

And then it was Luke's turn for a date at Fujiyama.   And Kate's turn for a fun night with Uncle John.

Muffin morning where Kate met Mrs. Harvey and found her desk in her classroom.  She is so ready.

Life is good for this guy.

Dad is doing pretty well too.
