September wrap up!

Now that we are back to school, here is what we were up to during 

September:

Watching lots of Aggie football and enjoying chips and queso at our favorite place.

Mom and Dad celebrated James's 39th birthday downtown at the Townsend bar.

Mom and Luke had a football field picnic while Kate had violin practice.

Kate went to Chap Cheer camp and had a blast.

Elliot Hill's birthday party at Lost Creek CC.

Kate and Elliot were given the honor of introducing the illustrator of the Fancy Nancy book series at their school so they put together some really fancy outfits.

Fayette County Fair 2015

We spent Labor Day Weekend at Blackjack with the Gaskamps celebrating at the Fayette County Fair.  For the first time this year, we rode in the parade in Uncle John's car and Dad's car.  ZZ Top was playing at the Fair on Saturday night, so we dressed like them for the parade.

Back to School 2015!

We have gone back to school for the year and can't believe that we are in 2nd grade and our last year of Montessori School.  Kate was more than ready to get back to school, back to her friends and back to learning.  Her teacher this year is Ms. Mueller and she has the most amazing classroom library we have ever seen!  Kate has lots of new activities to try out this year.  She is going to try volleyball and golf and she is still going strong with her violin lessons with Ruby Jane.  Her favorite subject so far this year is GT and her least favorite is PE.  Luke has not been quite as jazzed to go back to school.  This year he is going Tuesday-Friday and he is not thrilled.  He asks most days after school, "NOW, can I go to Kindergarten?"  He is learning to read and add but his favorite part of school is Soccer Shots on Wednesdays.  He is still doing gymnastics on Monday and loves it.  We look forward to an awesome school year!!

White Sands, NM to Austin, TX

The last day of our trip we woke up in our hotel room in Alamogordo and drove 2 hours to Roswell, NM where we went to the International UFO Museum and took lots of pictures with aliens.  Then we got back in the car and hit the dusty trail back to Austin.  We rolled into town last night around 9pm and are already planning our next road trip.
