Pneumonia D

No, don't worry everyone; I am not sick. Pneumonia D is simply the name of my rocking horse which is one of my new favorite things. Pneumonia D is actually about 30 years old as he belonged to Mom when she was little. And she is the one that named him that silly name due to some commercial for AMMONIA D that was on when she was a kid, but she got confused and he became PNEUMONIA D. Although he sounds scary, he is lots of fun. I first went rocking about two weeks ago and now I crawl over to him and jump up and down until someone lifts me up and rocks me. It's awesome!

It takes two

On Sunday night, I was finally able to meet Matthew and Lillian, AKA the Robb twins. My Aunt Brandy and Uncle James are so wonderful that I am so excited for them that they have not one but TWO babies like me! They kinda remind me of my wiener dogs Willie and Lucy, the way they love to snuggle with each other so much. They are so cute, and I can tell that Lillian was already checking me out to make sure I would be cool to play dolls and dress-up with one day. They were born on January 15th, but since they were a few weeks early, we have to be extra-careful with them. I just cannot wait until we can cause trouble together! It's going to be so much fun!!!

Upper body strength

To round out my work out, I have been doing some pull-ups. My goal is to make it to 10. I'll be there in no time. They are a piece of cake! Check me out...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope you all have a very Happy Valentine's Day!

My yoga practice

With all of the physical activity I am getting these days, I needed an outlet for stretching and relaxation, so I have taken up yoga. So far I have mastered the downward facing dog pose and the downward facing dog with leg extension. At the end of my practice I do the corpse pose. These really help me relax and unwind.

I'm WALKIN' on sunshine!

That is right people. Today was the day. I had finally had enough of this crawling and cruising business, so this morning Mom and I went shopping at Kohl's and I made my big move. She was walking me around the home decor section and I saw some candles that I really needed to get to. Next thing I know she has let go of my hands and I took THREE steps before I crashed to my knees. It was absolutely exhilarating! I am sure Mom and Dad will get some video of me later this week. Dad is out of town right now, so Mom can't figure out how to help me walk AND video at the same time, so y'all will just have to take my word for it until later this week. This is soooo exciting! It is a whole new world for me up here on two legs!! I am finally a bi-ped!

Circle in the sand

This week my dad built me my very own sandbox! It is so amazing. It gives me a good excuse to play in the dirt and get dirty! I love to use the rake and feel the sand in my hands and feet. I LOVE my new sandbox and as you can see my wiener dogs love to play with me when I am in it.

Hoot Hoot I'm cute! My 1st Birthday Party!!

To celebrate my very first year of being around, a lot of my friends came over to help me celebrate. I requested an owl themed party, so there were fun owl decorations everywhere, with balloons, and my very own owl-shaped birthday cake. It was my very first taste of cake, and my favorite part was the chocolate icing he had for eyes. Yummmmmm. We all ate pizza and pasta and then I got to open my birthday presents! I got so much fun stuff! I got a new piano, and a crib for my doll, lots of fun books to read, some really cute new clothes, a Noah's Ark, a new piggy bank, a blanket that Aunt Rachel knitted for me, a fun play kitchen, a pretty bracelet with my initials on it, an Elmo Live, some musical instruments, a twilight ladybug, my very own dishes, and my very own arm chair with my name on it! I have been having so much fun playing with all of my new things! After partying, though, I was so sleepy that I was asleep before the party was over! What a great birthday!

It's fun to be ONE!

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been so out of touch lately. I have been busy turning ONE YEAR OLD! Last Saturday was the magical day and I couldn't be more excited about my second year of life. I have made so many strides so far. Here's a quick run-down of what I have been up to: I have now grown 4 whole teeth: two on the top and two on the bottom and apparently that is where all of my protein is going because I still have a pretty bald head, a few hairs here and there but not even enough for mom to brush it after my bath. I am also starting to take a couple of steps here and there. I want to walk really badly all of a sudden and I am determined to make that happen pretty soon. I am a completely independent eater. Mom and Dad just put my big girl food in front of me and let me have at it. Some of my favorites are black beans, peas and carrots, blueberries, bananas, and NutriGrain bars. I am not a really big fan of meat yet, but I guess that will come later. Mom has officially packed away all of my bottles because I am all about the sippy cup these days. And speaking of my sippy cup, I don't even have to drink that stinky formula out of it anymore! Now it is just big girl cow's milk or water! And by the way, cow's milk is soooooooo good! I have also got some pretty cool new tricks aside from the whole trying to walk thing. When anybody says "touchdown" I put both hands up in the air like a referee. I can also give "high fives", wave hello and goodbye and blow kisses! I have really warmed up to the dogs now and instead of torturing them, I like to pet them just like Mom and Dad do. At night when Mom and Dad put me to sleep and say "Night night" I say back to them "Nine nine"....still working on that "T" sound. When I see a duck I say "Duh"...again not so good with the "K" sound yet. And I also sad "Da Da" all the time. Well there's a little run-down of what I have been up to. As you can see I have been VERY busy, but I will try to keep in touch a little better. So until next time...
