This week Mom and I joined Dad for a two-day business trip to Houston so that we could catch up with some of my good friends. On our way to Houston, we stopped by Popo's station in La Grange to visit with him. Dad thinks the station is something right out of the 60s so he thought it would be hilarious to take pictures. Apparently Popo's dad used to run the station and Mom, Aunt Rachel, Uncle John and their cousins used to terrorize this place during the summers. After a quick visit with Popo, it was back on the highway to Houston. When we got there, we had lunch at the Galleria with one of Dad's clients who thinks I am pretty cute and then that night we had dinner at Blake Haas's house. He will be one next month, and I don't usually go for younger guys, but MAN is he cute! It was fun seeing his Mom and Dad, Alyson and Colton, but perhaps my favorite part of the visit was visiting with Blake's pets. He has a big yellow lab named Maggie who I kept telling to "Be nice!" because she is so friendly and loves to wag her tail all over the place! And then there is Blake's cat, Maya. As you all know I have only really spent time around Aunt Katie's cat, Sammy, and I adore him, but the feeling is not exactly mutual. Well Maya let me pet her, kiss her, and I even climbed into her little house so that we could spend a little more time together. Mom and Dad say that if they could figure out a way to get a cat without the wiener dogs terrorizing it night and day, I could maybe get a cat of my very own. Stay tuned. On Wednesday I had a special treat in store. In the morning, Dad took me around to some of his offices to show me off and then we met up with Mom and you'll never guess who showed up to go shopping with me at the Galleria! MARY!! She brought me an Easter basket and everything! I smiled as soon as I saw her. When I say her name it sounds a whole lot like "ME", so if you ask me who my best friend is, I might answer "ME"! Don't get me wrong. I do love myself. I know that loving yourself is important. But I do think Mary might be my best friend. Especially after Wednesday! She gave me SO much chocolate Easter candy (she really gets me). Then Mary and I rode on the choo choo train at the Galleria and then Mom, Mary and I all went to lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. That place is crazy! There are monkeys hanging from the ceiling and tigers roaring. I loved it! On the way back to Austin Wednesday afternoon, we stopped in La Grange again, but this time to see Mimi and tell her hello. Wednesday night we came back home to Austin, and I was exhausted from all of the fun. It was great seeing you guys! Let's do it again really soon!
