I'm walking the floor over you....

December 23rd, 2011 marked a huge day for Luke independence.  I took my first steps.  We were out at Blackjack and the mood just struck me.  It has taken several days for the parents to get a photo or video, but today they finally got it.  After I take several steps,  I like to sit down and clap for myself while everyone erupts into "Yay"s and "Good job, Buddy Boy!!"s. We are having some technical difficulties with video, so for now here is a picture of me mid-walk.  Needless to say, I am quite pleased with myself.

As we wrap up another Christmas (my 4th and Luke's 2nd), we are thankful for our friends and family that helped make it so very merry.  This was the year of the princess castle and mermaid everything for me and anything with wheels for Luke.   We spent a couple of days in La Grange and at Blackjack and then drove home on Christmas Eve after church with Mimi so that we could leave cookies and milk out for Santa at our house.  When we woke up on Christmas morning we were so excited to see all of the wonderful new presents under our tree.  We spent all day playing with all of our new things and hanging out with Gigi, Popo and Uncle John.  Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
