Dad decided we should try lying in the bluebonnets.  I loved it!  Luke did not.

Then Mom and I found lots of bluebonnets to lay in and look at the clouds.

Happy Easter to everyone!  Hope you all enjoyed the holiday as much as we did.  We spent our first Easter at Blackjack this year and it was just perfect.  There were wildflowers all over the pasture so we had no trouble finding the flowers for our Easter nests.  Sunday morning we had our Easter egg hunt and then went to church with Mimi, Gigi and Popo.  During the children's time at church, the pastor asked if we could smell the Easter lilies in the church and I blurted out, "Yes, I think they smell like chocolate!"  Even though my parents couldn't see me down there on the floor, they looked at each other and said, "That's Kate.  The girl loves her chocolate."  And that is a fact.   After church we had lunch together at Blackjack with Uncle John and all the rest (Chocolate four layer delight for dessert included.)

Last weekend the Hidells came to Austin for a visit.  We had loads of fun visiting Zilker Park, taking them to Austin's Pizza and playing around the house.  How lucky are we that our Moms and Dads had us all so close together?

We really love the new fence.  It was completed last week and I have already learned how to crawl over it.  Luke also tries really hard to do so.

We just returned from a wonderful Spring Break at Blackjack.  We spent lots of time with all four of our grandparents, Uncle John,  and then the McEwans came out for our last night there.  We had so much fun playing outside for almost the entire week!  Kate's favorite things were chasing butterflies barefoot in the pasture and picking wildflowers while Luke wanted to go on four wheeler rides to check cows several times a day.  We all came back with a little sun on our faces and peace in our hearts.  Happy Spring!
