Easter

Egg art with Gigi

Taking a break to jump around

And be silly

Today is Easter and it was a beautiful day.  This morning I woke up to find Easter eggs all over my front yard and lots of fun treats in my Easter nest.  I took off up the hill and started picking up eggs and you will never guess who hopped through my front yard.  The EASTER BUNNY!  Seriously, it was this cute little gray rabbit and I dropped my basket and pointed and said, "Hey everybody, it's the Easter bunny!!!"  I guess he just wanted to hang around and make sure that I found all of the eggs that he had hidden for me.  After I found all of the eggs and went through them all to check out my candy stash, we got dressed and drove to La Grange to go to church and have lunch with Mimi.  What a beautiful Easter Sunday with my family.

Luke's baptism

On Easter eve, there was a very special service at our church in which Baby Luke was baptized.  I was also baptized on Easter eve 3 years ago by Pastor Lynn.  It was a beautiful night.  Gigi, Popo and Uncle John came to celebrate with us, too.

Happy 35th to our Mom.

Saturday was Mom's 35th birthday (Man that sounds old!)  Friday night Dad surprised her by taking her to have sushi and when they walked in 10 of their best friends were sitting there ready to help her celebrate!  I think they had lots of fun, but on her actual birthday we got Mom all to ourselves.  First we took her to breakfast at Magnolia Cafe, then we met the Robbs and Patricks at Camp Mabry and took tours of military planes and helicopters.  We even saw one helicopter take off!!  Mary Kate and I were jumping up and down and screaming; we loved it!  That night we took Mom to dinner at Maudie's (our favorite!) and then it was home to help her eat her birthday cake.  She says it was her best birthday yet being able to celebrate it with all four of us for the very first time.  Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Spring has sprung!

Someone has found his feet!

Springtime and our irises are in full bloom!

The big pool is still a little cool, but this pool feels just right!

Mom and Luke went for a run at Town Lake and found a piano along the way (?)

Sweet Pater.  Such a good sport.

Lounging Luke watching his big sister play in her pool.

Sweet Siblings

Kate and I have really been bonding as of late.  She is so sweet and always tries to help me calm down if I am crying and she makes me laugh all the time.  Our favorite game to play is peek-a-boo.  Here we are after bath time.  She tells me, "It's not fair, but I love you little man."  She's so sweet.

Happy Birthday Mary Kate!

That's my buddy Carter Utkov standing next to me in line and listening intently.

Even Luke was trying to get into the game.

Last weekend we went to a birthday party for my friend Mary Kate who turned 4 years old.  It was at My Gym and I had no problem doing everything the 4-year olds did.  And since then I have been sure to tell everyone, "I am almost 4 years old."

The weekend round up

My girlfriends taking a break from the pressures of the game to do a little impromptu train.

I'm out, Coach.

This weekend Mama T and Bob Bob came in for a short visit and we sure had fun.  On Saturday while I went to Carter and Campbell's party, they kept Luke and then on Sunday I took them to my soccer game to show them my skills.  I played for a few minutes and even kicked the ball a bit.  It might have been my best game yet.  They left early Monday morning to go back to Florida and I am already looking forward to their next visit in a couple of months!

Giddy up!
Today Mom, Dad, and I went to Carter and Campbell's birthday party at their house and they had the coolest petting zoo! (Luke stayed home and partied with Mama T and Bob Bob who are visiting this weekend, but more on that later). Now back to the petting zoo:  there were bunnies, chickens, goats, sheep and even ponies to ride!  And so many of my friends were there, so when it was time to go, I was so bummed.  A lot of Mom's friends that she grew up with were there (Carter and Campbell's mom, Christina is from Yoakum).   One of their moms said, "I feel like I am in Yoakum in the late 70s watching all of these little girls that look just like their Moms run around."  And so I have included my friends' moms' names in parentheses under the pictures for all of you Yoakumites that read my blog.  Happy Birthday C and C!  Thanks for a great party!!
