Pumpkin Patch Posing

Here are photos from Luke's first trip to the pumpkin patch (on the outside, anyway.)  He was absolutely mesmerized by the pumpkins, so he just stared and smiled, but I just wanted to run and run and run.  Thank goodness Gigi was there, too, so she could chase me around and around as I pretended to be a duck and then a cat and then a dog. Needless to say, standing still and posing for a picture was NOT on my agenda.  I did indulge Mom and Dad by posing for a few photos, but it was Luke who was the most interested in just sitting in the pumpkins and smiling for the camera.

Monday morning outfit: photo shoot worthy

Here is the outfit I chose for myself this morning.  Disclaimer:  I DO have swimming class, so the bathing suit was necessity.  The tutu and boots....well those are just for style.  And something about the outfit really got me in the mood for a photo shoot, so Mom obliged and here are the breathtaking results.

Saturday we celebrated Mara's 4th birthday party at a park near her house.  And you'll never guess who showed up?  Rapunzel!  She told us stories, painted our faces (I chose to look like a cat.....and meow for the rest of the day), made us balloon animals, and did magic tricks.  She was amazing!  After that, we had cupcakes and played on the playground.  It was great and so much fun to hang out with my school friends at the park.  Happy Birthday Mara!

Yesterday my Halloween costume came in the mail.  I really hate to ruin the suspense for you all, but I had to try it on, and then as we sat outside enjoying the cool morning, Mom pulled out the camera.  Now, you just have to try and guess what Luke will be for Halloween.....

This weekend we got to spend a little quality time with some of our Dallas peeps.  Thursday we drove up to Aunt Rachel and Uncle Chris's and got to spend a couple of days hanging with Avery and Dax.  We had our first trampoline experience (Kate loved it.  Luke had mixed emotions.)  We also got to sleep together in the same bed.  Well Luke didn't, but maybe one day he will too.  We had so much fun with our cousins, we didn't want to leave!  But on Saturday we headed down to the Hidells' to watch the Aggie game and hang out with Berlin and William.  After Aunt Rachel took Avery, Dax, and me to see the movie A Dolphin Tail (loved it!), we headed down to their house.  Avery and Dax came to play too, so it was a crazy time.  On Sunday we all headed to the State Fair.  Berlin and I had a great time riding rides, working on the "farm", and petting animals in the petting zoo.  Oh what a weekend!  Happy to be home, but we sure do love visiting Dallas!

Luke is 10 months old!

Friday, I turned 10 months old, and I could barely sit still long enough to let my mom take any pictures.  First of all, you must notice the awesome cowlick that makes the hair on the back of my head stand straight up.  Mom might need to start using a little product in my hair.  I am crawling everywhere but not yet interested in walking.  I am also not interested in holding my own bottle or using a sippie cup.  I really like for everyone to dote on me, to be honest.  I now have six whole teeth and that means I am eating everything I can get my hands on.  Including dog food.  And dirt.  I love to dig in all of the pot plants around the house and when someone tells me no, I just laugh and shove the dirt in my mouth.  But I am not all trouble.  I also happen to be very sweet.  I will kiss my dogs any chance I get, even the little bronze wiener dog statue by the front door.  I love to crawl over and give him big open mouth kisses.  I love to chase my sister around the house and she loves to entertain me in a language that only the two of us understand.  If I could get her to hold still long enough, I would give her one of those big ole kisses too!
