Easter 2012

Sharkboy after his bath

Kate decided to be the Easter bunny for her Easter party at school....

Bluebonnets at Blackjack

Buddies in the bluebonnets

Dad decided we should try lying in the bluebonnets.  I loved it!  Luke did not.

Then Mom and I found lots of bluebonnets to lay in and look at the clouds.

Running through the wildflowers.

"Bluebonnet party!"

Here are our Easter nests.  (I am sitting in mine and Luke is already in bed for the night.)

Mom, Gigi and I playing washers.  Um, I'm pretty good.

We take this game seriously, apparently.

Easter morning fog.

After the fog lifted, we had a beautiful Easter morning.

And the Easter bunny came!!!!

And now we are ready to find those eggs!

Luke decided to gather washers instead of eggs....

which meant more eggs for me!

Mmmmm.  Chocolate.

In our Easter best.

Here we are under the trees where Mom and Dad got married.

Six years later.  Who would've guessed they would be lucky enough to have Luke and me to call their very own?

Luke could ride on this four wheeler for hours.

Lukey loves Lucy.

I got a butterfly net from the Easter Bunny and Gigi and I put it to good use that night.

Happy Easter to everyone!  Hope you all enjoyed the holiday as much as we did.  We spent our first Easter at Blackjack this year and it was just perfect.  There were wildflowers all over the pasture so we had no trouble finding the flowers for our Easter nests.  Sunday morning we had our Easter egg hunt and then went to church with Mimi, Gigi and Popo.  During the children's time at church, the pastor asked if we could smell the Easter lilies in the church and I blurted out, "Yes, I think they smell like chocolate!"  Even though my parents couldn't see me down there on the floor, they looked at each other and said, "That's Kate.  The girl loves her chocolate."  And that is a fact.   After church we had lunch together at Blackjack with Uncle John and all the rest (Chocolate four layer delight for dessert included.)
